For best results, certain tests are necessary before the IVF process can begin
Necessary tests
- HIV I/II, HBsAg (Australian antigen), Anti HCV/total, RPR for both partners.
- In addition, a mammography / breast ultrasound is required for women over 35 years.

- IgG and IgM red-cell antibodies
- CMV IgG and IgM
- Toxoplasmosis IgG and IgM
- TSH
- Comprehensive endocervical culture
- Hemoglobin electrophoresis / Complete blood count / Iron
